Privacy Policy
Last updated
EZ Entity Formation, a service of E11evate LLC (a Wyoming limited liability company), respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it.
1. Who We Are
EZ Entity Formation is a business entity formation and document filing service operated by E11evate LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy applies to ezentityformation.com and to the services offered through it.
2. Information We Collect
We collect only the information needed to prepare and submit your filings:
- Contact information — your name, email address, mailing address, and phone number.
- Business formation details — proposed entity name, entity type, state of formation, principal and mailing addresses, registered agent information, organizer, member, incorporator, or officer names, and the intended purpose of the business.
- Account information — the email address and password credentials you use to sign in to your account.
- Payment information — processed by Stripe, our payment processor. We do not receive or store your full card number, CVC, or bank credentials.
- Usage information — basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, used to keep the site secure and working correctly.
If your order includes EIN (Tax ID) filing, we will separately request the responsible party’s Social Security Number or ITIN through a secure channel after checkout. We do not collect that number through the ordering wizard and we do not store it in your browser.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To prepare, review, and submit formation documents to the applicable Secretary of State or other agency.
- To obtain an EIN from the IRS on your behalf when you order that service.
- To provide registered agent service, forward official mail, and send compliance reminders when you subscribe to those services.
- To process payments and issue receipts, refunds, and renewal notices.
- To respond to your questions and provide customer support.
- To meet our legal, tax, and recordkeeping obligations.
4. We Do Not Sell Your Personal Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We share information only in these limited circumstances:
- Government agencies — the state filing office, the IRS, or other agency required to complete the service you ordered.
- Service providers — vendors that operate parts of our platform on our behalf, such as Stripe for payments, our hosting and database providers, and our email delivery provider. They may use your information only to perform services for us.
- Legal requirements — when we are required to disclose information by law, subpoena, or valid legal process, or to protect our rights, property, or safety.
- Business transfer — if our business is sold or merged, customer records may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
5. Public Filings Are Not Private
Information contained in entity formation documents — including entity name, registered agent, principal address, and in many states the names of organizers, members, or officers — becomes part of the public record maintained by the state. We cannot control or remove information once it has been filed and published by a state agency. If you have concerns about public disclosure, discuss them with us or with your attorney before you place your order.
6. Data Security
We use industry-standard safeguards — encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers — to protect the information you give us. Sensitive tax identifiers are collected through secure channels and are never persisted in your browser’s local storage. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Data Retention
We retain order and filing records for as long as needed to provide the services, to support your entity’s ongoing compliance needs, and to satisfy our legal, accounting, and recordkeeping obligations. You may request deletion of your account and associated data, subject to records we are required to keep.
8. Your Choices
- Access and correction — you may request a copy of the information we hold about you or ask us to correct inaccuracies.
- Deletion — you may request deletion of your account and data we are not legally required to retain.
- Email preferences — you may opt out of marketing email at any time. Transactional messages about your order, filings, and renewals will continue.
To make a request, email support@ezentityformation.com.
9. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your progress through the order wizard, and understand how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may prevent parts of the site from working.
10. Children
Our services are intended for adults forming a business. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date above. Material changes will be communicated to account holders by email.
12. Contact and Governing Law
This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. For privacy questions, contact E11evate LLC at support@ezentityformation.com. See also our Terms of Service and Refund Policy.
